A certain Rich Vincent C. Arocena who is also from the Philippines caught my attention today. Mr. Arocena used two of my photos for a contest which is run by the National Geographic Channel Asia. He removed/cropped my watermarked name on the photos. Mr. Arocena never asked for permission regarding the use of my photos and he even claimed them as his. Good thing I was able to get a screenshot of his Facebook post before he even managed to remove it.

I believe that this bad behavior of Rich Vincent C. Arocena should be given proper actions and a sincere apology. We are ready to file formal legal complaints against Mr. Arocena but we would like to seek legal advices first before we proceed.

I was home alone yesterday and I got bored so I decided to go Mall of Asia since it's just a few kilometers away from my condo. Yeah, I know it's a Saturday so you will normally see a lot of crowd in the malls spending time with their families and dear ones. I kink of liked the plastic eyeglasses that I see online because they are light weight and will not stress my nose bridge that much even if I wear it the whole day. My existing eyeglasses is actually made of plastic and I have been using this since college because it is comfortable and stylish. Up With People Final Concert at Resorts World Manila

I enjoyed the final concert of the Up With People Cast A 2010 last April 18 2010, Sunday. The event was held at Resorts World at the newest wing of New Ports City just near NAIA Terminal 3. Although we came in a little late, we still managed to get front seats (thanks to Jamie because they came earlier and reserved seats for us).

Resorts World is the major sponsor for this event. It is a pretty huge resort hotel with an entertainment section for those who love sport bet and gaming.

The Up With People cast performed so well and I am so proud of them especially our friends Paul Rush, Kyle DeGraff and Michael Roudebush. We really didn't expect that the three boys have their own lead performances on the show - and they're so good! We're proud of their performances. Kyle and Mike did a lot of singing and dancing. Paul was the lead guitarist and on the latter part of the show, he did a song number, too.

Sadly, it was their last day here in the Philippines and they will be leaving for the US right after the show. We will miss the cast and we hope to see them again real soon. Until next time guys!

I am craving for a photoshoot and I want to go to places like the Mt. Pinatubo crater or the beautiful island of Coron in Palawan. Suddenly, I felt the need to study Photography more and take the hobby on to the next level.

As most of you know, we just recently moved in to a new condo unit and I am still adjusting with the new environment. The new unit needs a little redesigning though because I am not comfortable with the traditional style. I want to make it look more like my personality.

Next week, I will ask some of my friends to accompany me and look for a new stainless steel sink. My first priority as of the moment is the kitchen area. I am looking for some great sink designs like those stainless steel sinks advertised on MR Direct- simple yet elegant designs.

Photography Hobby: Addictive and Expensive

I started to get engaged into photography about a year ago when I first had my point and shoot digital camera. I remember I would always shoot at anything or anyone that I found interesting. I had no idea that this photography hobby that I went through would be so much expensive. When I bought my first DSLR, I thought that I would be all set and would fully enjoy the photography thingy, but I was wrong.

One of my mentors when it comes to this hobby has always been persistent in telling me that Photography is a very expensive fad. Mind you, he even gave me that sermon with a serious face. But of course, since it's his first love, too, he totally understands each and every one why they keep on falling in love with this diversion.

Seems like my newly bought camera isn't enough anymore when I do photo shoots. Turns out that what I bought was just the starter gadget and a lot of future investments for sure, are on its way (external flash, larger memory stick, lenses and many more lenses). OMG, it's screwing up all of my savings! (laughs).

Now, I am starting to feel that the more I capture and take photographs, the more satisfying and addicting it becomes. And there is this feeling that I would never want to go anywhere without my camera with me. My camera has become my companion, my teacher and my stress-reliever. It's an outlet in expressing myself and my thoughts.

My friends and I might move to Manila and settle there for quite a while. One of my friends is offering her condo unit somewhere along Shaw Boulevard since she's the only one who stays there. With that, I saw a great opportunity of getting a better job in Manila. As early as now, I am already applying to online job portals and might do walk-in applications once I'm there.

Yesterday, I bought a new printer cartridge since I will need a lot of printed resumes. I have to prepare all of theses job-hunting requirements so that when we're already settled in Manila, I can start the job search as soon as I can.

My printer will have to work harder for me now because it will need to print a lot of documents for me. Thanks to my newly purchased ink cartridge, I can print better quality documents and images anytime. I don't have to pay for expensive printing services. I just hope that my printer won't screw up because of over fatigue (laughs!).

I have been using my eyeglasses since college. I only replace the lens every time I upgrade. Last week, I received a package in the mail from my friend who is getting married next month. At first, I had no idea what the package was all about. I was actually expecting something like an invitation card but not a small box from her. Thoughts About Work, Luck and Ink Cartidges

I was busy the whole day today because I had to finish a project that was assigned to me two weeks ago. Can you believe that? I managed to go out on a trip knowing I still have a pending project waiting on my table! That sucks, right? (Laughs.)

Actually, it was just an easy design plan and I knew I can finish it just in time before the deadline that's why I was relaxed and I held on to my horses that long. Right after I was done, I went to the nearest mall and bought ink cartridge for my printer because I had to send them right away to my boss for approval. Guess what? I woke up early today because of this irritating feeling I always deal with when sleeping on my bed. On the top part of it, I think there is a spring that went lose creating a bulge just right under my back when I sleep on it. I feel so uncomfortable because it gives me backache and a short sleeping time. It's starting to bother me so I decided to save to get a new one. I am actually looking for metal beds online because the structure is sturdy and my friends say that the price is reasonable.

I might buy one of those metal beds instead. Hopefully I will be able to save more this month. That means cutting off some unnecessary expenses like going out to parties and friends at night (laughs). Overwhelming Progress of Angeles City

I went to my former school just this afternoon and requested a copy of my credentials as I will need them in the processing of my possible promotion at work. As I was walking through the streets just outside my school, I happen to pass by the old Sapang Balen creek and I was so surprised to see that the garbage-filled creek way back years ago is now unbelievably trash free. Well not actually free from trash but it is way better than before - and still improving. I am now convinced that it really is a creek because all these years, I always have the impression that it is a dump site for garbage.

Well thanks to the Holy Rosary Parish led by our beloved Bishop, Father Pablo 'Ambo' David. He spearheaded this campaign this 2009 if I'm not mistaken. Now, along with the many volunteers, every segment of the creek is now being revived and cleaned on a regular basis. When I attended the mass few weeks ago, Father Ambo was very proud to announce the overwhelming success of the project.

I salute my fellow Kapampangans for actively participating and supporting such campaign. I hope this kind of initiative will continue to live in our next generations to come. I will take a picture of it next time so you can see it.

Organizing a Wedding Event

This year will be a quite busy year for me since I need to put more time and energy on our new business. Also, about four of my friends will get married this 2010. So as usual, I will be helping them in organizing and preparing for the big celebrations of their lives. The first wedding that I will attend will be this coming March.

My best friend asked me a favor if I could handle the designing of cheap wedding invitations since I am known to the group as the computer geek. Of course, I have no choice but to say yes. I have a not-so-expensive talent fee, by the way. (Kidding!) Anyway, I might be considering those wedding invitations advertised on one of my trusted sites. La Pieta at the Holy Rosary Parish Church

Last week when we attended the Sunday mass at the Holy Rosary Parish church in Angeles city Pampanga, I noticed this new religious work of art placed right outside the church. It is the replica of Michelangelo's La Pieta all made of marble accentuated with warm colors and lighting. Perfect!

I got so fascinated with the sculpture and I felt like I was really looking at the original one (though there were not of the same sizes). So I took a picture of it to share it with you. I hope someday, I will be able to create something like this. (Dream on! haha)

When I was a kid, I have always dreamt of becoming a sculptor. I used to create animal designs and faces using clay. Too bad I never had the chance to preserve any of my pieces.

As A First-time Businessman

Starting a business really is nerve-racking and way too pressuring especially if it's the first time you'll be dealing with it. As for me, since I don't have any educational background when it comes to business management, I am quite having a hard time at start. Engineering courses here in our country don't concentrate much on managerial subjects. Right now, as starters in the business, I am still learning a lot most especially in the finance part of the business.

And since we are into hand crafts sold both to the local and international market, we might be considering of purchasing a business vehicle that will be used in the delivery and pick-ups of products locally. I was actually thinking of getting a Chevrolet Silverado or similar to that because it is designed as a carriage vehicle. We are actually using an old car right now but it is not that spacious enough to accommodate large supplies. I will be taking it as well to an auto repair shop probably this week for a brake job.

Went Shopping with a Friend

A friend asked me to go out and shop with her and since I have nothing to do at home, I accompanied her. Anyway, I also need to do a little shopping for myself since it's been quite a while when I last bought my pair of jeans.

As what we always do in the mall, we started walking and store hopping just to find the right wardrobe or items for us. My friend and I decided to split and go our separate ways so we can maximize the time as the mall will be closing not too long.

After like about 2 hours of walking and going up and down the mall, we finally raised our white flags and met at a restaurant to recharge. I got myself a new pair of shoes and a shirt. I will post pictures of the items soon.

Well that would be for now. I just wanted to share to you how I spent my day today.

Vectors Using Adobe Photoshop CS4

Take a look at this vector photo that I created using Abobe Photoshop CS4 Portable. This is not an easy task because it took me about 3 hours for me to complete this. The idea behind vectors is that you create the image layer by layer depending on the color shade. So for every color shade, there should be one layer. The more layers you put in, the more accurate the photo will become. Since this is my first ever try on vector, that's why the result is still not that smooth compared to others. Will try to make better ones next time.

We had a movie marathon last night at home. My friends and I agreed to watch Korean suspense and adventure series. Good thing the movies have English subtitle captions. I kind of enjoyed the movie because it is centered on karma and reincarnation. I am a fan of supernatural and suspense thriller movies but I should be watching them with someone. (Laughs)

Alden's 1st Birthday

It was my godson's first birthday last Sunday. I was there as a photographer! Haha. Kidding! Alden Niño Gabriel is Rizaleen's first son. It was a kiddie fun party as what most kids would envision; the typical Filipino kid's party- clown performance, piñata, pabitin and the good-old parlor games. It was fun to see kids enjoy and scream their heart out every time the clown asked them to do so. I remember my childhood days haha.

Rizaleen and I known each other for about eight years now since we went on the same school together way back in high school. Then soon after we graduated college, we worked for the same company together. She's one of my best buddies, along with my other friends from iQor (Lesley, Aimee, Princess..) Congrats Rizz for having baby Alden! He's your greatest blessing. :)

I have always been fascinated with architectural designs and landscaping. At one point in my life, I have dreamt of becoming one so I will be the one to design my own house. I want a house that is unique and will truly represent my personality. I have a few friends who are into the architecture field and I sometimes bug them out whenever I am in need of some research with regards to house plans and interior designs.

I have a lot of aspirations and "i want to be" moments. I wanted to build one-of-a-kind home communities. Well, I think one whole lifetime is not enough for me to make all my luxurious dreams come true, so I just have to focus on the feasible ones.

I Can't Believe I'm a Farmville Addict

Farmville is great. Farmville is entertaining. Farmville is exciting. Okay, enough of the adulation. For those of you who are still not aware, Farmville is a cool application on Facebook by Zynga, where one gets to grow and maintain his own farm. You grow different kinds of crops trees and animals and you can even build a community as you level up.

Unfortunately, I forgot how I got hooked up into this addiction. At first I was a little skeptical because I felt sick by the tutorial when someone introduced it to me. Since I don't have anything to do at home then, so I ate the bait and played it.

The game is addictiing. And now, after days of plowing and milking, I now have reached level 29 with a couple of cool different houses and farm stuff. Almost my whole daily routine is now directed on the game. That every time I am out of the house, I find myself worrying about my harvest which I really find crazy. Haha. But I guess I'm not the only one, most of you guys, I suppose are also maintaining your own farm at farmville waiting for gifts, aight?

Joey's Secret to Success: Always Save Money!

A couple of friends and I had a short bonding time last night. I spent the night together with them over a cup of coffee. Then, Joey (one of my friends who's working in China and went over the country for the holiday vacation) opened up something to us that really surprised the group and made me really happy. He confessed that he will not be coming back to China. Instead, he will just start a business here in the country so he can stay with his family while he saves money.

When I was a student, there were several moments in where I have taken education for granted. It's only now that I realized how important education is to everyone. Contrary to popular belief that the sole reason for studying is to survive the future, there are in fact a number of reasons why education is a treasure.

Education shapes the overall personality, that when you compare the uneducated to the educated, you can clearly tell the difference and determine that the latter is way above and beyond the former in terms of judgment, decision-making and management.

I have dealt with different kinds of people and all walks of life and obviously people with formal schooling and some who went astray. Our government should allot time and focus on this matter because as what our national hero once said, "The youth is the hope of the nation."

We can stop ignorance by teaching others the value of education and by being an instrument to educate. As students, do not take learning for granted as it is a great armor you'll have to carry on with you in the future. Starting the Year Right

After the holidays, now we are back to the usual business again. We now say goodbye to the long vacation and greet the newly assigned projects at work with a smile. The start of the year for me has been doing great so far and I am looking forward for this all through out the year.

According to the horoscopes that I read, though I am not really a fan of fortune telling or some sorts, it says that if I want my year to be fruitful and productive, I should unleash the positive aura in me and neglect the negative ones. This somehow has psychological basis since having a positive outlook in life will make life easier and less complicated, therefore it will give you that refreshing feel and less stress.

We only have a few hours left before we say goodbye to good old year 2009 and welcome the year 2010. My previous year has been a roller coaster ride of happy and not-so desirable things that I will forever keep in my memories.

There are a couple of things that I need to leave behind to face the coming year with positive thoughts and strong energy. I think almost everyone of us experience the dilemma of nostalgia as the year ends. We feel mixed emotions of loneliness and excitement as we are about to face another phase in life.

I just hope that everyone will have a wonderful year ahead. Happiness is a choice. It's a matter of how we look on things. If we want to live a life full of positive energies and environment, we have to appreciate even the small good things to feel our worth.

Fireworks Display at SM City Clark

We were at SM City Clark just a while ago for the Pyrolympics Fireworks display which was held at the mall's parking lot. And since I have my new Nikon D3000 DSLR with me, we decided to do test shots.

Unfortunately, I am not yet aware of the different manual settings of the camera in different light situations so my fireworks photography set turned out to be not that favorable to a photography critique's eyes. Also, I didn't use a tripod that is why the output were kind of shaky and grainy.

Next time, I will try to get better shots and I will consult the experts, too regarding the proper settings and adjustments. Here are some of my shots:

Off To Manila Today

Hi there, I will be offline most of the day since a couple of friends have invited me to go to Manila and buy stuff for the Holiday party. I also decided to buy myself a gift - my dream Nikon D3000 DSLR camera.

I took this chance to buy it since it is way cheaper in Manila compared to the stores here in Pampanga. I think it will save me about $80 which is a lot and I can even use that in buying presents for my nieces and nephews.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your weekend and pray for a safe trip for me as well. =)

Joy Ride at Lakeshore Pampanga

A couple of friends and I agreed to have a joy ride yesterday since we all have nothing to do at home. One of my friends offered his ride. We went all over the streets of Angeles city and San Fernando. Then, we dropped by at a convenience store in North Luzon expressway near Mexico after which we strolled inside Lakeshore, one of Pampanga's famous luxurious subdivision and event center. Lakeshore is well-known for its light house and man-made lake. Here are some pictures.

Nostalgic Christmas Season

I woke up late today because I needed to finish a lot of pending projects last night. The day kind of felt strange to me because I felt nostalgic and suddenly craved for Christmas. Memories kept on flashing back in mind especially the happy ones during my childhood. I can't explain it but I am experiencing the feeling of homesickness as well (I am at my home, for your information. Strange isn't it?).

Well, just to deviate my thoughts (or I probably scratched the itch, haha), I quickly turned on my PC and downloaded some of my favorite Christmas songs - Jose Mari Chan hits. I transferred some on my music player, put on my headsets and maximized the volume. Now I am more relaxed and composed.

Weekeend Experience at Marquee Mall

We were at Marquee Mall last weekend with a couple of friends. Actually, I often go to the malls during weekend as one way for me to treat myself and shake away stresses and fatigue. Marquee, by the way is the newest Ayala Mall and it is the first here in Central Luzon.

Anyway, I just want to share this cool ride that we saw in front of the mall's entrance. I kind of freaked out when I saw the headlights - because they are not lights; they are LCD monitors! Can you believe that? It's like a pimped ride from the famous MTV show.

The magazine digs deeper into the Manny Pacquiao history by exposing starting from his humble beginnings up to his recent accomplishments as a boxer and a celebrity including the significant persons in his life like Coach Freddie Roach, his mother Dionisia Pacquiao, Chavit Singson and many others.

This is it! Manny Pacquiao is getting the perfume of fame all over the world. He even appeared on one of America's famous late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live on November 4th and graced a song number. Rumor has it that Pacman will be releasing a US produced album. OMG, I can't believe that. I am so happy for Manny.

Johnny Delgado Dies at 61 Today, November 19

I just received sad news today that veteran actor Johnny Delgado died this afternoon around 1:20PM because of his long time battle with lymphoma.

I was quite shocked because it has never been talked so much in the news. Actually, I thought Mr. Delgado was getting better because the last time I saw him on TV, he was a little more energetic. He died at the age of 61.

We salute Mr. Delgado for all his efforts in making the Philippine showbiz achieve its highest quality when it comes to acting. Our condolences to Mr. Johnny Delgado's family especially to his wife Laurice Guillen.

We were at SM City Clark this evening and I got fascinated with these spooky life-size monster displayed at the mall's event center for their Halloween exhibit. They are paper mache decorated with simple raw materials that resulted to these very creative and scary creatures that for sure kids will enjoy.

Halloween has been a yearly tradition that is celebrated by almost everyone here in the Philippines. In fact, some have adapted the Western tradition of trick or treat and costume party. I hope you guys enjoyed your Halloween Holiday as well.

October 2009 ECE Board Exam Results to be Released Today

It's a heart pounding day today for me especially those who took the October 26, 27 Electronics Engineering Board Exam administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

I have a lot of friends who took park on the exam and I am praying for their success. I know it is not an easy exam but it only takes courage to surpass this trial.
