Cruelty to animals is becoming one major concern today in line with human abuse and sexual harassment. A lot have been doing animal killings just for the sake of business. We have to realize that just like humans, brutal killings to these animals is immoral and should not be tolerated.

Animals do feel pain. Animals do suffer. I think a problem arises with the sentiment "just like humans".
The death of a dog, or a steer, or a catfish should not even approach the murder of a human--yet more and more it does.
I was in the gym locker room. A national news story about a boy who skinned and dismembered a couple of hundred of his neighbors cats. A chorus of "Sick f----k! and the like arose throughout the locker room. I'm pretty reserved, but of course I found it to be an ugly, ugly crime.
The next story was about a man who had rung a door bell, doused the woman who answered in gasoline and set her on fire. Not one peep.
Something is definitely amiss.
Just got my pet three months ago to take part in a proactive kind of way -- taking care of one. I even have a blog for him: lillancaster.weebly.com. Maybe this is the next step for me to do -- participate in that online petition. Thanks for the info!
